Alfa Supports Acsauvel’s Annual Sports Event for Children with Special Needs
on June 09, 2014: As every year, alfa, managed by Orascom Telecom, toghether with Acsauvel, organized the annual sports event for children with special needs as part of its “alfa 4-Life” CSR program. The sporting activities were held on June 7, 2014 at the Champville Stadium in Deek el-Mehdi, in the presence of alfa CEO and Chairman, Marwan Hayek, and Acsauvel director, Mrs. Nabila Fares, in addition to alfa and Acsauvel families, and an interested audience.
This event comes within the framework of the therapy activities offered to the Acsauvel children as part of “alfa 4-Life”, which is essential in strengthening their abilities to communicate with the outside world, and in enhancing their physical and mental health.
This year, the alfa basketball and football teams took part in the event, in addition to players from the Champville team; they challenged the children during the one-hour-long sports parade. The children demonstrated a significant improvement in physical skills during their various sports games such as basketball, gymnastics, volleyball, and football. At the end of the event, Mr. Hayek distributed medals to the participants.
