Under the patronage and in the presence of French Ambassador to Lebanon, Mr. Patrice Paoli, alfa organized the exhibition “Voir Avec les Mains” at the Residence des Pins in Beirut, where 16 students from the Lebanese School for Blind and Deaf (LSBD) exhibited their bronze artistic creations representing their vision of life. These artworks were created in a workshop given by a renowned Lebanese sculptor. The event was attended by Mrs. May Mikati representing H.E. the Prime Minister, Najib Mikati, a multitude of ministers, deputies, ambassadors, and prominent figures. During the exhibition, many sculptures were sold and all proceeds went to LSBD.
“I have participated in the workshop and exhibition “Voir avec les Mains” with alfa. The Workshop was given by the artist Anachar Basbous who used to come everyday day to teach us the techniques of sculpting. I really loved this experience that gave me confidence and new skills and I wish to repeat it again.”
